About me

     Sharon Penz is a multi-media performance artist who imbues her work with a passion for authentic expression. Sharon studied modern dance, choreography and theater at C.U. Boulder. She has worked as a dancer and choreographer in Colorado and New York in various companies - most recently Clyde Forth Visual Theatre and Gnomon Shadow Theatre. She teaches contemporary choreography at the Saugerties Ballet Center and leads regional workshops in dance and theater improvisation. She has performed in and taught at several artist's residency programs regionally, and directed and choreographed under private and public grants. She is currently attending Goddard College where she is working towards her MFA in interdisciplinary arts. She lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband and two beautiful children.
